LEADERSHIP | Patrick J. Sweeney II Patrick is ODIN's founder and provides strategic leadership and management. He is a proven entrepreneur and technology visionary. He is the author of two industry-leading books - RFID for Dummies and the CompTIA RFID+ Study Guide. He is well-recognized as a thought leader in the RFID industry with patents on RFID performance accuracy and visibility, and several more patents in various stages of approval. He has been interviewed in CIO Magazine, The Washington Post, Fortune Magazine and ABC News, among others. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and on webcasts. His combination of technical and business background help him form the vision and understand the direction of the emerging RFID industry; his involvement in many governing bodies and standards committees effectively transfers those ideas into policy.
In the late 90’s he founded ServerVault, a secure managed hosting company, and led the company as CEO, through fourteen quarters of consecutive sales growth. At ServerVault, he recruited world-class talent, developed novel technologies and earned loyal customer relationships from the likes of CapitalOne, Hartford Life Insurance, Raytheon, the NFL and scores of others. He successfully sold ServerVault to affiliates of Western & Southern Financial Group.
Patrick graduated from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he currently sits on the Alumni Board. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire. He is the only North American member of Trinity College, Dublin’s Advisory Board, and is on the advisory group for RFID Business and a member of the AIM Global RFID Experts Group. He is also on the board of Peace Players International, helping use sports to bring children in areas of conflict together. Patrick is a champion rower, having won the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, the Norwegian World Cup and numerous World Cup and national events. He finished second in the 1996 Olympic trials in the single scull. He is also an instrument-rated airplane pilot. Patrick believes in building companies based on innovation, integrity and a focus on client satisfaction. 
|  | James M. ZinnJim began his career providing accounting and consultation advice to financial clients at Ernst & Young, where he became a partner in 1986. In 1994, he joined CapitalOne Financial Corporation as the company's initial CFO to organize the company's financial areas for IPO and public market, allowing him to establish positive Wall Street relations while creating award-winning corporate communications functions.
In 1999, Jim left CapitalOne and worked with the initial founders to establish financial and administrative functions at LifeMinders.com, an online direct marketing company. Mr. Zinn then became the CFO of ServerVault in 1999, where he helped guide the company through three successful venture capital rounds and an eventual sale in 2001, with Jim continuing as a Board Director. Jim holds a B.S. from Ohio State University and is active in his church and the YMCA of Greater Richmond. |
 | Bret KinsellaBret Kinsella has helped build ODIN into the market leader in RFID by focusing on client needs and transforming those needs into repeatable solutions. Bret is responsible for client management, sales and marketing at ODIN. He brings 15 years of supply chain operations, marketing and technology management experience in both the private and public sectors to ODIN. His focus is on employing technology and processes to enable more agile, efficient supply chains while creating Supremely Satisfied Clients.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kinsella served as Director and General Manager of Supply Chain Services at IT consultancy Sapient, led product marketing at software maker Formation Systems and served as a supply chain strategy manager at Accenture.
During his career, Mr. Kinsella has served clients in the United States, Latin America and Europe such as Airbus, General Motors, Dell, Intel, Target, Staples, Marks & Spencer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Colgate-Palmolive, Thomasville Furniture, Wells Fargo, Banamex, and the United States Department of Defense. Bret is widely published on the topics of supply chain, RFID and brand strategy. He earned his MBA from UCLA and B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. | | Daniel ConnollyDaniel Connolly is responsible for leading ODIN technologies direct and indirect customer development activities. He utilizes his diverse skills and background to drive all sales engagements and delight ODIN customers and partners around the globe. Prior to ODIN, Daniel was with Nortel Networks for 15 years from Boston to Silicon Valley to the Mid-Atlantic. During this time he gained diverse experience in delivering solutions to clients. He was frequently called upon to focus on the new growth opportunities from Carrier to Enterprise, from Commercial to Federal where he consistently exceeded targets. During the late 90s telecom boom, Daniel led West coast sales teams focused on the growing competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC), internet data center (IDC) and the optical carrier markets. After 2001, his focus shifted to Federal where he built and led a sales team focused on the civilian agencies of the U.S. government. Most recently, Daniel led the U.S. emerging carrier sales team for Nortel which had a particular focus on the emerging wireless carriers and technologies such as WiMAX, WiFi, and optical backhaul. His desire to focus on the next great technology wave and be a contributor on a great company leading that pack brought Daniel to ODIN technologies. Daniel received his M.B.A. from St Mary’s in California and his B.A. from Colby College in Maine.

 | Dr. Daniel EngelsDaniel was at MIT’s Auto-ID Center from the beginning, as the Director of Research at the Auto-ID Labs, working with groups like the DoD and ISO, and is a creator of the EPC protocol. Daniel is an exclusive consultant to ODIN technologies in the Federal Sector and also works with ODIN technologies on commercial clients. He divides his time as Director of the newly formed Texas RFID Center and Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, and working on ODIN technologies projects. Daniel led the very first pilot projects for the Auto-ID Center, which involved Wal-Mart, P&G, Gillette, and several other companies. He was with them constantly as they faced many of the challenges other companies deploying RFID face today. He has been sharing a level of knowledge and experience with the ODIN technologies team that is unmatched in the industry, helping our strategy planning be years ahead of our competitors. He received his PhD from MIT, Masters Degree from Berkeley and Bachelors from State University of New York; all in electrical engineering with a focus on distributed systems architecture. He has more than a dozen patents currently pending. | | Kevin MacDonaldMr. MacDonald is an expert in systems architecture for RFID and is responsible for designing and implementing client solutions and architecture. Prior to joining ODIN technologies, he was part of the leadership of Sun Microsystem's RFID architectural consulting group and instrumental in establishing several of Sun's initial RFID engagements. Prior to his work at Sun, Kevin worked at Motorola where he led several development teams. Kevin earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University. Mr. MacDonald is widely recognized for the presentations he has given on deploying RFID and large scale enterprise software. |
 | Chris FennigChris is responsible for executing client engagements and testing R&D on allfacets of RFID. He has focused on the emerging RFID industry since its inception and has successfully engaged leaders in the industry through his professional consulting services. His experience includes direct interaction with Wal-Mart’s top suppliers, leading Aerospace companies, and global pharmaceutical companies specifically designing and executing novel RFID systems. Chris is passionate about leading tech-based business initiatives. His interaction with RF began as a developer of cutting edge nanosatellite technologies designed to deliver store-and-forward email communication services to clients worldwide. This technology formed the basis for a startup called Nanostar Technologies, Inc. Serving as CEO, Chris held responsibility for formulating and executing strategic plans, as well as interacting with potential investors and strategic partners. Chris received his M.S. in Physics Entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University, a program dedicated to empowering physicists as entrepreneurs and his B.S. in Engineering/Physics from Taylor University in Upland, IN. |
